Finally got around to my first blog. I guess I’ll start it off with this:
Thoughts about DS 106 Boot Camp
Yeah! My first gif! A little more difficult to make those than I thought it would be. That pretty much sums up these two weeks of boot camp as well. The tasks were a little intimidating and I was a little hesitant to blog and join all these social medias (i.e. Flickr, Twitter, etc.).I think I’m starting to get the hang of it though and I can see myself enjoying this in the future. I have already played around with making some more gifs and will hopefully get some daily creates posted soon.
I was able to create my email address: teldridge@slowlykillintime.com
Still can’t see my blog listed with the others. Definitely don’t feel left out or anything…
I did get my “front entrance” started. http://slowlykillintime.com/
Not exactly where I want it to be yet but it’ll get there.
Like I said earlier, boot camp wasn’t exactly “fun” but I am looking forward to the things I can learn from ds106.

The blog is looking great, I really like your play on names with the domain, and if course the great Tim here in the GIF. You cannot ever have too much Monthy Python.
And Don’t feel left out, your blog is now listed. Not sue why it missed the right setting, but you are in now.

I am curious what programs you used to make this gif, especially since there is text (or are those subtitles?).
DS106 will get better! You just have to put a lot of effort in which is difficult sometimes. I think our group should also be a DS106 support group.
I used MPEG Streamclip and Gimp to make the gif. Had to look up a video on how to add text or subtitles to gifs.
Thanks for the encouragement! I have been enjoying the class a lot more lately.
